About the Circuit

The circuit consists of a market town church, a coastal strip consisting of Looe and Polperro and rural chapels. There are 3 Full time ministers, 2 part time ministers and 2 part time pastoral assistants. We also have 17 lay pastoral ministers and 30 local preachers.

Mission Statement

The Liskeard and Looe Circuit has recently adopted a Team Ministry approach to circuit work. Now called for general purposes the Spiritual and Pastoral Team.  The team operates from the circuit office situated at our Liskeard Church.  The office is staffed five mornings a week.  We have a part time administrator and several volunteers who are responsible for the office. Our immediate policy is to strengthen the circuit by consistent pastoral care, teaching and spiritual development through house fellowships and courses. We have recently gone through a consultation process with all our churches and chapels and now shaping a strategy for the future. Our strategy will include deciding how best to use our premises, our financial resources and our lay and ordained ministry.
