Born in St Austell of a strong Methodist family. I trained as a scientist before being called to the ministry and service in Suffolk, Tunstall, Truro and Redruth. I was seconded for 10 years working with training the unemployed in new skills. I returned to normal ministry in Falmouth Circuit. I am constantly amazed at God's wicked sense of humour in what he calls me to do. I view the work of the ministry as a huge privilege. |

Currently working half-time in the Falmouth Circuit, I am also
Chaplain to Tremough Campus, Penryn and Woodlane Campus, Falmouth,
seeking to meet the pastoral & spiritual needs of staff and students
of University College Falmouth and The University of Exeter in
Cornwall. This exciting new venture in the county comes under the
umbrella of the Combined universities in Cornwall. Previously based
in the Liskeard & Looe Circuit, I experienced a mainly rural
ministry; latterly with circuit changes having pastoral
responsibilty for Liskeard. During my time in Liskeard circuit, I
chaired the Youth & Children's Team, Tutored the Local Preachers on
the Faith & Worship course and with the move to Liskeard, served as
the Mayor's chaplain. Prior to my move to the Methodist Church, I
had served in full time ministry for thirteen years with The
Salvation Army, having left employment as a secondary school
teacher. |
