About the Circuit

History:
Part of the Camelford and Wadebridge Circuit, until 1992.
The areas around Bodmin and Padstow were then added to form the North Cornwall circuit
In April 2000 the circuit divided into   i) Bodmin, Padstow & Wadebridge      ii) Camelford & Tintagel

Geography:
The circuit lies to the north of the Bodmin, Padstow and Wadebridge circuit, and to the south of the Week St Mary Circuit.
The circuit overlaps with Week St Mary in the Tresparrett / Brockhill area.
It runs from Bodmin Moor to the North Cornwall coast, ministering to visitors especially in Tintagel, Boscastle and Brockhill. The only town is Camelford .

Mission Statement

Our policy is to encourage a greater unity in the circuit, to do together what we find it difficult to do as individual churches.
The second minister in the Circuit allocates 50% of her time to youth work, mission and outreach .

We endeavour to be aware of ecumenical groupings and partnerships and to develop ecumenical links. To continue exploring the ways in which worship, mission, and outreach activity could and should be done together.

We consider the ministers should be used across the circuit as enablers and the are encouraged to offer their particular gifts on a circuit wide basis.

We attempt to explore ways of working with neighbouring circuits and share mutual concerns, without changing circuit boundaries..
We are committed to growth and to mission. We encourage all to have the boldness of vision to enable God to work in and through us.
